Twilight New Moon Showings Already Sold Out

Hey Twilighters!

If you haven’t purchased your advanced tickets to the New Moon showings yet, you should do so soon!  According to an article from CinemaBlend, many of the tickets for the New Moon showings are already sold out.  (Thanks to Jason K. for sharing this info!:))

The release of The Twilight Saga New Moon is still more than nine weeks away. Do you have tickets? Now might be a good time to get them since showings are already selling out.

Tickets went on sale exactly six days ago and according to Movietickets.com more than a dozen New Moon showings are now sold out. Interesting, Twilight isn’t even the most popular film on Movietickets.com. That would be Avatar with 67% of all Movietickets.com users saying it, not New Moon, is the movie they’re most anticipating through the end of the year. As Avatar’s release date draws closer, expect sellouts for it as well.

It’s worth noting however, that while the first Twilight movie did brisk business in theaters, it wasn’t exactly a record breaker. The film never broke the $200 million mark domestically. While the sequel is almost certain to do even better, often excessive advance ticket sales is merely an indicator of a small, devoted fanbase. It’s not really proof that in the twelve months since the last movie was released this thing has become a real cultural phenomenon. It’s just proof that unless you’re a fan, you won’t want to be anywhere near a movie theater on New Moon’s opening weekend.

  1. decline

  2. The expectations left by the first movie were not realized in New Moon. While we wanted to like it, there was not enough of anything there. 60 minutes of entertainment crammed into 2 hours and 10 minutes.

Here is out take with lots of pics and a little wit if you are interested:
